Managing Subscribers

A subscriber is an application that registers with IMS Integration Hub to receive messages of a certain type.

Two subscriber types can be configured in IMS Integration Hub:

1. Subscriber—A 'standard' subscriber receives messages from a configured publisher and forwards the message to a configured endpoint for processing by an external system. This type of subscriber relies on a custom DLL that forwards the message to an external system. In this scenario, the endpoint is usually in a configuration file.
2. ActiveMQ subscriber—An ActiveMQ subscriber receives messages from a configured publisher and forwards the message to a configured Apache ActiveMQ endpoint for processing by an external system.
