Export Reports
Select reporting | export in the main menu to export reports to Microsoft Word, Excel, CSV and Datamine formats.
Create an Export Configuration
To create a new export configuration:
- Click the + button next to the configurations list.
- Enter a name for the export configuration.
- Select Report as the export type.
- Select the format to use as the export file type.
- Excel - Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
- Word - Microsoft Word document.
- CSV - Comma Separated Values file.
- Datamine - Datamine's legacy file format.
- Datamine Extended- Datamine's new extended file format.
- Browse/enter the path of the destination file.
- Click OK.
The new export configuration displays in the configurations list ready for editing.
To create an export configuration from a template:
- Click the + button next to the configurations list.
- Enter a name for the export configuration.
- Select the format to use as the export file type.
- Browse/enter the path of the destination file.
- Select use template.
- Select a template to base the new configuration upon.
- Click OK.
The new export configuration displays in the configurations list ready for editing.
Add Reports to Export Configurations
To add a report to the selected export configuration:
- Navigate to reporting | export and select the export configuration to edit;
- Click the + button next to the reports list.
- Select the report type.
- Enter a title for the report.
Note: When exporting to Microsoft Excel, the title is used as the name of the worksheet. When exporting to Microsoft Word the title displays above the exported report.
Note: Charts cannot be exported to the CSV, Datamine, and Datamine Extended formats.
- Enter any comments for the report. Comments display below the exported report.
Configure Report Options
The report configuration area within each report defines what data is included or excluded during the export.
For table reports, the report configuration area consists of the options checkboxes.
For chart reports, the report configuration area consists of the repeat checkboxes and/or the series fields.
The individual configuration options differ based on the selected report type. See Report Types.
To configure chart reports:
- Select the desired repeat checkboxes if you want to export individual instances of the chart for each location, process, stockpile or attribute.
- Click the + button next to the series table to add a series. The series option enables you to export a chart with specific configuration settings.
- Enter a title for the series and select from a number of available options to filter the series data.
- Click the + button to add multiple series to the same chart.
Note: The series table includes configuration options similar to the configuration fields available in reports |view.
Remove Reports from Export Configurations
To remove reports from an export configuration:
- Navigate to reporting | export and select the configuration to edit.
- Select the report to delete from the reports list;
- Click the x button next to the reports list to remove the report from the configuration.
Save an Export Configuration as a Template
An export configuration can be saved as a template for any new configurations. Templates are not project specific so they can be used across all projects.
To create a template from an existing configuration:
- Navigate to reporting | export.
- Select the export configuration to be saved as a template from the configurations list.
- Click the t button.
- Enter a name and comment for the export configuration template.
- Click OK to save the template.
Delete Export Configurations
To delete a single export configuration:
- Select the export configuration in the list.
- Click the x button.
To delete multiple export configurations:
- Hold down the Shift or Ctrl key while selecting the export configurations with the mouse.
- Click the x button.
Export Reports for Current Scenario
To export the reports for the current scenario:
- Select the configurations to export.
- Click Export at the bottom-right of the screen.
After the export has completed, a message displays the export status of each configuration.
- To open the generated file for an export configuration, select the appropriate configuration in the table and click Open.
- To open the folder of the exported file, select the appropriate configuration in the table and click Explore.
Export Reports for Multiple Scenarios
To export the reports for multiple scenarios:
- Select the configurations to export.
- Click Advanced Export at the bottom-right of the screen to open the Advanced Export screen.
- Select the scenarios to export.
- Choose an output folder for the reports.
- Select whether to export the reports to subfolders or directly to the output folder.
- subfolders—Subfolders are created in the form of <projectname>_<date>\<scenarioname>\<exportconfigname>\
- output folder—Filenames are created in the form of <projectname>_<date>_<scenarioname>_<exportconfigname>_<exportconfigfilename>
- Click Export.
After the export has completed, a message displays the export status of each scenario or configuration.
- To open the generated file for an export configuration, select the appropriate configuration in the table and click Open.
- To open the folder of the exported file, select the appropriate configuration in the table and click Explore.
