Add Comparison
Add Comparison allows definition of the metrics used, colour of the comparison on a chart, and the order number that it displays in the reference lists on the analysis screens.
Activity Steps
- Select the Add Comparison button at the top of the Comparisons screen.
- Fill in the following required fields:
- Comparison Name
- Comparison Abbreviation – This is the label that is used on charts and on the continuum comparison ribbons.
- From Metric – The order that you select From and To metrics determines which metric is used as the denominator.
- To Metric – The order that you select From and To metrics determines which metric is used as the denominator.
- Chart Colour
- Order Number – Determines the ordering in the reference lists.
- Ensure the boxes in the middle of the screen are appropriately activated: (that is, a comparison with Resource Model and Plant Product will only make sense for metal).
- Valid for tonnes & volume comparisons
- Valid for attribute comparisons
- Valid for metal comparisons
The formula that is used for all comparison calculations is shown at the bottom of the screen.
Comparison types:
MT and MF denotes "To Metric" and "From Metric" respectively:
- Actual Difference Δ = MT − MF
- Factor = MT/MF
- Percent Difference = ((MT − MF)/MF) * 100 or ((MT/MF)-1
