Create a Filtered Analysis Set
Filtering data allows you to create filtered analysis sets that only contain data that match your filter requirements. To create an analysis set with all discontinuities that you have mapped on the 3D image, see Create an Analysis Set.
Activity Steps
- Open the Analysis menu.
- Select Create Analysis Set in the Analysis menu group.
The Create Analysis Set window displays. This window shows all of the mapped discontinuities in the parent set. If you have added your own schema, this data displays as columns on the right of the table.
Note: Alternatively, you can right-click Analysis in the Project Tree and select Create Analysis Set from the menu.
- Click Edit Filter in the bottom-right corner of the Analysis Set Discontinuities table.
The Filter Editor window displays.
- Click the + symbol next to And to construct a filter.
- Select or enter a value for the following parts of the equation.
- Discontinuity attribute – Displays in blue. Select a discontinuity attribute, which can include those added by a schema.
- Qualifier – Displays in green. Select a qualifier that relates the Discontinuity attribute to the Value.
- Value – Displays in grey. Enter a value in the same units used by the Discontinuity attribute.
- Click + to add more conditions to the filter, if required.
- Click And (displayed in red) to alter how filters with multiple conditions are handled, if required.
- Click Apply to run the filter.
Discontinuities that meet the conditions of the filter display in the Analysis Set Discontinuities table.
- Click OK.
Note: Filters can be toggled on and off using the checkboxes in the bottom-left corner of the Create Analysis Set window.
- Click Create.
