CAD Driver Category - Supported Data Types

Data Type	Description
AutoCAD (points)	Importing: Refers to the import of point data in DXF or DWG format. Dialogs 1 and 2 are displayed. Exporting: Export data held by the selected object in DXF or DWG format. Dialogs 1, 2 and 3 are displayed
AutoCAD (strings)	Importing: Refers to the import of string data in DXF or DWG format. Dialogs 1 and 2 are displayed. Exporting: Export data held by the selected object in DXF or DWG format. Dialogs 1, 2 and 3 are displayed
AutoCAD (wireframes)	Importing: Refers to the import of wireframe data in DXF or DWG format. Dialogs 1 and 2 are displayed. Exporting: Export data held by the selected object in DXF or DWG format. Dialogs 1, 2 and 3 are displayed
DGN (Points)	Importing: Dialogs 1 and 2 are displayed. Exporting: Dialogs 1, 2 and 3 are displayed
DGN (Strings)	Importing: Dialogs 1 and 2 are displayed. Exporting: Dialogs 1, 2 and 3 are displayed

Import Dialogs:

The following dialogs are used when importing CAD files:

1. Open Source File: Select the source file and directory.

2. Read Drawing File: Define layer assignments, and properties for incoming data.

Export Dialogs:

The following dialogs are used when exporting CAD files:

1. Data Selection: Determines which data entities are exported to the resulting DXF file format.

2. Save File As: Specify the path and file name (including extension) of the file to be created.

3. Write Drawing File: Set the data conversion properties used in creating the file.
