Definition Editor
The Definition Editor is a powerful tool which can either add and define all fields in a new table, or edit fields in an existing table:

Purpose |
| Columns |
Lists all columns (fields) in the selected table. Select column to edit its definition |
| Add |
Adds a new column to the end of the table |
| Insert |
Inserts a new column before the selected column |
| Delete |
Deletes the selected column |

Column Information |

| Name |
Column (field) name - edit to change the name up to 24 characters. See Long Field Name Support . |
| Type |
Type of data contained in the column - select alpha or numeric from the drop-down list |
| Length |
Number of characters for alpha data only - edit to change the field size |

Value entered automatically |
| Implicit |
Implicit or explicit data - select Yes or No according to the data in the column |
| Formula |
For columns which are not implicit, a formula may be provided to generate new field values (only available for new columns) |
