Configure Tasks

Note: This topic relates to Dynamic Modelling.

The Dynamic Modelling workflow contains one or more tasks to facilitate the modelling of resource data. The workflow is processed in a top-down order, according to the tasks displayed on the Configure Tasks screen.

A workflow can include the following task types:

  • Drillholes – A mandatory workflow step to update, validate and (if required) desurvey the latest drillhole data.

Note: You can't remove or reorder the Drillholes task, but you can edit how import is performed using Drillhole Importer.

    See Update Drilling Data.

  • Extents – Your modelled data needs confinement information, which can be represented by one or more data items, including a prototype model, one or more topographies, boundary strings and so on.

Note: You can't remove or reorder the Extents task.

    See Configure Domain Task.

  • Domain – A domain task is where implicit modelling takes place. Your product's implicit modelling tools are connected to the workflow using this task.

    See Configure Domain Task.

  • Fault Blocks – Model fault blocks based on your fault system design.

    See Create Fault Blocks.

  • Block model – Create a block model capturing the generated structures and fault blocks.

    See Create a Block Model.

  • Macros – A macro task lets you run one or more automation macros as part of your Dynamic Modelling workflow.

    See Integrate Modelling Macros

Other than the Drillholes and Extents tasks, other workflow tasks can be performed in any order. You can adjust the order by dragging and dropping the task items, and can remove any of the editable tasks using their corresponding "X" button.
