Block Model Properties
Note: This topic relates to the Dynamic Modelling Properties control bar.
To display this Properties control bar:

Select a block model parent object in the Dynamic Modelling framework to update the Dynamic Modelling Properties control bar.
The following properties are available for a parent block model. These properties decide how block model cells are generated within your modelling extents:

Name | The label used to identify the task of the Dynamic Modelling workflow. For this task type, the value is Block Model: followed by the block model's Name (see below). |

Name |
The name of the block model object generated by Dynamic Modelling. |
Status |
The latest status of the object, which can either be:

Symbolic Name |
The label used to identify the data object associated with the task in a macro. You can edit this value to match the expected IN value of your automation macro. See Integrate Modelling Macros. |
Enabled |
If checked, the workflow item is processed when the workflow is processed. If unchecked, the task item is ignored during workflow processing. |
Locked |
If checked, the task item is locked during processing. If unchecked, the task item is processed as expected during processing (depending on whether it is enabled or not - see above). See Process the Workflow. |
ObjectGUID |
An internal identifier representing the data object associated with the task. Read-only. |
Boundary Type | This read-only field displays the type of cell filling performed when creating the block model within the prototype. Currently, this is always set to Solid - Fill Inside. |
Splitting |
When creating the block model, you can opt to split cells into subcells where wireframe data intersects a parent model cell. This property is used to define the maximum level of splitting. Splitting can provide a more accurate representation of block model domain value boundaries. You have the following options:

Note: Cell generation in relation to wireframe data is performed automatically using the TRIFIL process. Follow this link for more information on splitting, subcelling and other filling options. |
Subcells in X/Y/Z |
Specify the number of subcells to be created in the two directions defined by the Reference plane parameter (see below). See TRIFIL Process for examples of splitting and reference plane and dip settings. Tip: You can also configure subcelling for each block model domain value independently. See Block Model Domain Properties. |
Z Resolution |
The size of the subcell in the direction perpendicular to the plane defined by the Reference plane setting (see below). If greater than zero then the cell size is rounded to the nearest parent cell size divided by the resolution parameter. For example, if the parent cell size in Z (ZINC) is 20 and Z Resolution is 5, the split cell size is rounded to the nearest 4 meters. See TRIFIL Process for more information on the resolution parameter (RESOL). Tip: You can also configure the Z resolution for each block model domain value independently. See Block Model Domain Properties. |
Reference dip |
Set an angle (in degrees) to ensure there can be little or no splitting where the surface is approximately horizontal but increased splitting as the dip of the wireframe increases. For each parent cell that is intersected by a triangle, the maximum dip of all triangles intersecting or adjacent to the parent cell is calculated. See TRIFIL Process for more information. Tip: You can also configure the reference dip for each block model domain value independently. See Block Model Domain Properties. |
Reference plane |
The plane used for subcell splitting. By default, this is the horizontal (XY) plane but you can set it to XZ or YX. Tip: You can also configure the reference plane for each block model domain value independently. See Block Model Domain Properties. |

These read-only properties are derived from the Prototype Model Properties. Use this control bar to edit model rotation, reference and block size values for the next modelling run. |
