move-plane-backward ("mpb")

See this command in the command table.

To access this command:

  • View ribbon >> Move >> Back

  • Enter "move-plane-backward" into the Command toolbar and press <ENTER>.

  • If using a keyboard, press Page Down.

  • Use the quick key combination "mbp" whilst a 3D view is active

Command Overview

Move the currently active section plane forward in a direction orthogonal to the plane.

The distance moved is specified by the current clipping limits. The orientation of the view plane is not altered. You can also set the movement distance using the Move field on the View ribbon (or increase/decrease the value shown using the spin buttons provided).

Command Steps:

  1. Run the command.

  2. The currently active section plane will be shifted backwards by the specified distance.
