Description
Set gradient unit and direction conventions for design commands.
How to use
-
Run the command.
-
In the Gradient Convention dialog, define the Gradient In and Direction settings, click OK.
-
Run the required design command e.g. create-ramp-string.
-
If required, rerun this command to reset the gradient convention settings.
This command enables the user to select what type of unit (percent, degrees, ratio) and direction (up/down convention for negative or positive gradients) should be reported and prompted for, with all commands which make use of gradient control when creating or modifying strings e.g. create-ramp-string, adjust-to-gradient. All related commands will obey the currently defined unit and convention settings, until they are changed with another operation of set-gradient-convention.
|
Default values may be specified by setting the environment variable "GRADIENT_CONVENTION" to one of 'degrees', 'percent' or '1:n' (Remember to place '1:n' in quotes, or the system will interpret it as an environment section). You may also set "GRADIENT_SIGN_UP" to be '1' for +ve up or '-1' for negative up. These variables are defined in the Datamine.env file. |
