Road Width

To access this screen:

  1. Make sure string data is in memory, and that a string has been highlighted, then select Applications >> Open Pit >> Road Layout Tools >> String to Road.

  2. Select whether to keep the control string (click Yes or No), then select how the control string should be used to design the new road string and click OK.

Use this screen (the final step of the String to Road command) to set the width of the new road at the start and end of the control string.

The alignment of the road perimeter strings is controlled by settings you specify on the String to Road Control screen in the previous step.

Activity Steps:

  1. Display the Road Width screen.

  2. In Width at Road Start, enter the width of the road at the start of the control string.

  3. If the start and end are reversed, use Design >> String Tools >> Reverse to reverse the string direction without changing its geometry.

  4. In Width at Road End, enter the width of the road at the end of the control string.

  5. Click OK.
