Command steps:

  1. Run the command.

    The Road String screen displays.

  2. Choose the Projection Method.

    • Enter "B" to project to a target elevation.

    • Enter "R" to project to a distance above or below the target string.

  3. Click OK.

  4. Enter either:

    • The Target Elevation of the end point of the road string ("B" method), or;

    • The relative vertical Projection Distance of the road string ("R" method).

  5. Enter the Road gradient as a percentage. Default = 10% gradient and click OK.

  6. Select the start point of the road design string.

    Tip: Use snapping to align to a particular contour string vertex.

  7. Select a point on the high side of the string to define a direction.

    The new road string displays.

    Note: The face angle generated between the new road design string and the contour perimeters is determined by the default face angle and how the face angle is being controlled.

  8. Click Done to complete the command (or create more strings).
