Description

Combine two perimeters (closed strings), which partially share a common boundary, into a single perimeter.

How to Use

  1. Run the command.

  2. Following the prompts in the Status Bar, select the first perimeter.

  3. Select the second perimeter.

  4. Click Cancel.

Examples

In the example below, the Keep Originals toggle is off, the green string is selected first and the red string second:

 

This yields the following result:

  • The resulting perimeter will contain the attributes from the first of the two strings.
  • This command is used in conjunction with the Keep Originals toggle ( Edit ribbon | Tools | More | Keep Originals ) and dictates whether the original string data is kept when strings are combined. See keep-combined-switch.
