Manage Pits

This activity is used to configure pits on the Pits Settings pane. Pits are the highest level data structure in an open pit survey database.

Activity Steps:

1. To create a new pit:

   1. Click New.

      A new area is added to the list with an "Pit " prefix and a numeric suffix.
      

2. To delete an existing pit:

   1. Select the pit you wish to delete in the list.

   2. Click Delete.
      

      Warning: Deleting a pit will remove all data stored within it, including all associated areas. This cannot be undone.

3. To rename an existing pit:

   1. Select the item to rename in the list.

   2. Either click Rename or select the same field again to make the field contents editable.

   3. Modify the pit name.
      

      Note: Pit names must be unique to active database.
      

4. Click OK to return to Pits Settings.
