Example: Templates
This example explains how to create a template for a set of thresholds that can be inserted beneath a Probability Plot component. These same steps can be used to create templates for other components.
Also see Example: Auto-Create Templates.
Create Template
- Load data into Supervisor.
- Right-click a Probability Plot component and select Add » Thresh old from the menu.
- Add and configure as many thresholds as required. See Add a Threshold. In this example, four thresholds have been added, as shown in the image below.
- Right-click the Probability Plot component and select Component » Save Child Components as Template » [Save Location] from the menu.
This creates a template containing all of the thresholds currently inserted below the selected Probability Plot component, including all of their settings in the Property Panel.
Note: If you want the components in the template to have the default settings for that component, create a Shell Template instead by selecting Save Child Components as Shell Template from the menu.
- Select where to save the template. Supervisor automatically opens the directory relevant to the component you have selected.
Note: Templates can only be inserted beneath the type of component they were created for. In this case, the thresholds template that was created can only be inserted beneath a Probability Plot component. It is recommended that you keep you templates separated into relevant folders to avoid confusion about where they can be inserted.
Insert Template
- Right-click another Probability Plot component and select Add Template » [Template Name] from the menu.
The Add Template menu lists all relevant recently used templates at the top. You can browse for other templates by selecting a directory further down the list.
The thresholds in the template will display beneath the selected Probability Plot component. If you created a Shell Template, then they will all have default settings in the Property Panel, otherwise they will have the settings applied before you created the template.
