Add a Threshold
Thresholds can be added to Probability Plots as deciles in the or individually. This article explains how to insert them individually. See Draw and Configure a Probability Plot for information on adding deciles.
Notes:
Thresholds are required for Insert an Indicator Variogram.
If you select a threshold in the Project Tree and open the 3D Viewer, all data points below the threshold display in red.
Activity Steps
- In the Project Tree, right-click on the Probability Plot component and select Add » Threshold from the menu.
The Threshold tab displays in the Property Panel.
- Enter the Threshold value in the Threshold property panel.
The new threshold displays in yellow on the plot.
- Configure the following options as required.
- Type – Type of threshold. Select from Percentile and CutOff.
- Report as – How the name of the threshold displays in the Project Window. Select from:
- Default – Value entered in the Threshold field.
- Percentile
- CutOff
- Both – Percentile followed by the CutOff value.
- Global = Local – Whether the use the global cut off for the local data.
- Global CDF cut-off – Only available if Global = Local is unchecked.
- Show all threshold lines
- Line widths
- Draw – How to draw the data points. Select from:
- Line
- Circle
- Cross
- Plus
- Dot
- Colour Key – See Colour Keys.
Note: Colour Key won't be available if Line is selected as the Draw option.
- CDF All – Show CDF for the entire dataset.
- CDF Interval – Show CDF for the defined portion of the dataset. Select from the options below.
- Lower Threshold – Show CDF plot for the data below the threshold.
- Inner Threshold – Show CDF plot for the data between this threshold and the next higher threshold.
- Upper Threshold – Show CDF plot for the data above the threshold.
