Configure the Filter Tab
The 3D Filter tab defines some options associated with filtering the data shown in the 3D window.
Activity Steps
- Select the Data Component with associated 3D data from the Project Tree.
- Select the 3D Viewer tab at the top of the Main Canvas.
- Select the Filter tab in the Property Panel.
- Configure the following options as required.
- NumShown – Number of data points displayed in the 3D Viewer.
- NumTotal – Total number of data points.
- Show Filter and Data Window – Display the Filter and Data Window to set complex filters.
- Display Options field group:
- Show unfiltered – Show all data, with the data that did not pass the filter shown in a separate colour and size. Only available if a filter has been applied. See Filtering 3D Data for more information.
- Filtered Out Colour – Colour of unfiltered data in the 3D window. Only available if Show unfiltered is checked.
- Unfiltered Size – Size of unfiltered data in the 3D window. Only available if Show unfiltered is checked.
- Monochrome colour – Display filtered data in one colour. Only available if a filter has been applied.

- Filter Options field group:
- Use filter
- Auto filter – Whether to allow filtering in the 3D window or restrict filtering to only be applied through the Filter Toolbar or Filter and Data Window.
- Reverse filter – Reverse colouring of filtered and unfiltered data.
- Filtered count – The number of data objects that passed the filter.
- Equation – Filter equation entered in the Filter and Data window.
