Configure the String Tab

The 3D String tab allows you to define if and how strings are displayed. Strings in this context are multiple values related to each other. For example, drillholes, roads or tenement outlines.

Activity Steps

  1. Select the Data Component with associated 3D data from the Project Tree.
  2. Select the 3D Viewer tab at the top of the Main Canvas.
  3. Select the Missing tab in the Property Panel.
  4. Configure the following options as required.
    • String column – Column that holds the string values.
    • Fix – Whether to fix the values in the String Table (see below). Double-click a string to fix. Double-click an empty space to unfix.
    • Current – String that is currently shown (by moving the mouse in the 3D window).
    • Show all of string – Whether to show all of the string's data, including the samples that fall outside the section. See Configure the Section Tab.
    • Show string name
    • Colour all – Whether to colour the values that are outside the section using the selected colour key. Only available if Show all of string is enabled.
    • String Table – Shows all of the data contained within the string. Each cell is coloured using the associated colour key for each column. You can expand the table a by moving the splitter between the 3D window and the String tab.
