Draw and Configure a Histogram

Histograms are automatically inserted under each domain when you import your data. The plots can be configured through the Histo tab in the Property Panel when a probability plot is displayed.

  1. Display the graph.
  2. In the Property Panel, select the Histo tab.
  3. Configure the Draw Options section.
    • Log scale – Display in logarithmic scale.
    • CDF overlay – Display the CDF plot over the histogram.
    • Cumulative histogram – Display cumulative sample count on Y-axis.
    • Percentage of sample count – Display percentage of the sample count on Y-axis.
    • Gaussian frequencies – Display Gaussian (normal) distribution on Y-axis. Percentage of sample count must be active for this option to be available.
  4. Configure the Bins section.
    • Bin Type – Select how data is grouped into histogram bins from Intervals and Widths.
    • Use auto-intervals – Automatically define intervals. Only available if Intervals is selected as the Bin type.
    • Number of intervals – The number of intervals to divide the data. Only available if Use auto-intervals in unchecked.
    • Use auto-width range – Use the lowest and highest values in the dataset to define the start and end values on the X-axis, respectively.
    • Range start – Value of the first bin. Only available if Use auto-width range is unchecked.
    • Range end – Value of the last bin. Only available if Use auto-width range is unchecked.
    • Bin width – Define the width of the bins. Only available if Widths is selected as the Bin type.
  5. Configure the Colour section.
    • Single colour – Select a single colour for the graph.
    • Colour key – Colour the histogram by value.

Note: If you choose a Colour Key Name you can Configure a Legend.

  6. Configure the Mouse Pointer Indicators section.
    • Show Indicators of Mouse Point – Show the intercept lines and coordinates when hovering the mouse over the graph.
    • Decimals – The number of decimals intercept coordinates display.
