Draw and Configure a Probability Plot

Probability plots are automatically inserted under each domain when you import your data. The plots can be configured through the CDF tab in the Property Panel when a probability plot is displayed.

Activity Steps

  1. Display the graph.
  2. In the Property Panel, select the CDF tab.
  3. Configure the following options as required.
    • Transform field group:
      • Log Assays – Display a logarithmic scale on the X-Axis.
      • Gaussian Frequencies – Display Gaussian frequencies on the Y-Axis.
    • Draw field group:
      • Colour – Select a single colour for the graph. Colour Key must be blank.
      • Colour Key – Colour the probability plot by value. Only available if Draw is not set to Line.
      • Draw – Select how the data displays from line, circle, cross, plus and dot.
      • Plot Point Size – Size of the points or line on the plot.
    • Thresholds field group:
      • Show – Whether to show thresholds on the plot.
      • Line width – Width of the threshold lines.
      • Add Deciles – Create thresholds in 10 % increments in your data.

Note: Form more information on creating thresholds, see Add a Threshold.

    • Intervals field group:
      • Maximum Intervals – Maximum number of points used to draw the plot.
      • Reset
    • Data Breaks field group:
      • Show – Show the data breaks where the difference between two consecutive points is greater than the Tolerance specified. For example, a tolerance of 10% would show data breaks between points where the difference between them is greater than or equal to 10%.
      • Tolerance – The tolerance for data breaks to display.
    • Mouse Pointer Indicators field group:
      • Show Indicators of Mouse Point – Show the intercept lines and coordinates when hovering the mouse over the graph.
      • Decimals – The number of decimals intercept coordinates display.
