Draw and Configure Hexbin Plots

The Hexbin Plot tab provides options for configuring the presentation of Hexbin plots.

Activity Steps

  1. Display the graph.
  2. In the Property Panel, select the HexBinPlot tab.
  3. Configure the following options as required.
    • Independent X Variable field group:
      • Independent X Variable – The variable the scatter plot was created under, shown on the X-axis. This option cannot be changed.
      • Log10 – Use logarithmic scale for the X-axis.
    • Independent Y Variable field group:
      • Dependent Y Variable – Select the variable to display on the Y-axis.
      • Log10 – Use logarithmic scale for the X-axis.
    • Axes maintain same scale
    • Bin Settings field group:
      • Number of bins along X – The number of hexagon bins data is grouped into.
      • Draw Borders
      • Border Colour
      • Log scale sample count
    • Mouse Point Indicators field group:
      • Show Indicators of Mouse Point – Show the intercept lines and coordinates when hovering the mouse over the graph.
      • Decimals – The number of decimals intercept coordinates display.
    • Show Line of Regression
    • Show 1:1 – Show the 1:1 correlation line.
