Set Minimum and Maximum Filters for a Data Loader Component

Minimum and maximum filters can be set at the Data Loader level, where they are applied wherever the data column is used. Minimum and maximum filters can also be set at the data component level, where they are only applied when that data component is used. See Set Minimum and Maximum Filters for a Data Component.

Notes:

Setting up minimum and maximum filters in the data loader does not remove rows from the loaded dataset and so does not affect any other imported data column. To remove rows, you must set up a filter in the data loader's Filter and Data Window.

Where minimum and maximum filters are defined at both the Data Loader level and the data component level, the highest minimum and the lowest maximum are used.

  1. Select the Data Loader Component in the Project Tree.
  2. Select the Data Loader tab at the bottom of the Main Canvas.
  3. Enter the Minimum value in the Column Definition Table at the top of the Main Canvas.
  4. Enter the Maximum value in the Column Definition table.
  5. Load or Reload the data to apply the changes.

New minimum and maximum filters display next to the Min and Max fields in the Column Tab (the tab with the same display name as the data component when the data component is selected in the Project Tree).
