Connect to the Excel Add-in

This activity describes how to connect the Excel Add-in.

Activity Steps

  1. Create a Client Submittal in the Excel Add-in or Use the Excel Add-in Control Charts or Use the Excel Add-in to Download Lab Stats or Use the Excel Add-in to Download Results.

  2. Click OK to reconnect.

    Note: You need to log in back to the database every time a new Microsoft Excel file is open.

    The Login to LIMS screen displays.

  3. Enter your Password.
  4. Click Connect.

    Note: You must enter all connection details each time you log in from a new computer or terminal.

  5. To enter connection details.
    • User Name
    • Password
  6. Click Options on first use to point the Add-in to the appropriate database.
    • Enter the Server Name.

    • Enter the Database.

  7. Click Connect.
