Maintain sample product and specifications

To view the product and specifications on an interim sample associated with a sample group:

  1. Continue adding a group of samples to a job on the CCSAMP—Update Sample screen.

  2. Select the Specifications tab to display the product and specifications.

To view the product and specifications on a single sample in a job:

  1. Access the CCREGN—Job application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCREGN—Search Job screen.
  2. Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search to display jobs that match the criteria.

    Note: All codes, enumerations and Job Name fields are case-sensitive for searching.

  3. Open the required job to display the CCREGN—Job Detail screen.

  4. Select the Samples tab to display job samples.

  5. Open a sample to display the CCSAMP—Sample Detail screen.
  6. Select the Specifications tab to display the product and specifications.

To view the product on multiple samples in a job:

  1. Access the CCREGN—Job application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCREGN—Search Job screen.
  2. Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search to display jobs that match the criteria.

    Note: All codes, enumerations and Job Name fields are case-sensitive for searching.

  3. Open the required job to display the CCREGN—Job Detail screen.

  4. Select the Samples tab to display job samples.

  5. Select the samples to be updated and click Update Multiple Samples to display the CCSAMPMULTIEDIT—Multiple Sample Detail screen.
  6. Select the Primary Details tab to display the product.

To view the product and specifications on a single sample from a sample search:

  1. Access the CCSAMP—Sample application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCSAMP—Search Sample screen.

  2. Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search to display jobs that match the criteria.

    Note: All codes, enumerations and Job Name fields are case-sensitive for searching.

  3. Open the required sample to display the CCSAMP—Sample Detail screen.

  4. Select the Specifications tab to display the product and specifications.

To view the analytical limits associated with a sample specification:

  1. Select the row containing a specification to display the associated analytical limits.

To add a product and all associated specifications:

  1. Access the sample product for a sample group, single sample or multiple samples.
  2. Select Product Code. Where the specification list is displayed, the list of specifications is updated.

To add individual specifications:

  1. Access sample specifications for a sample group or single sample.
  2. Click Lookup CCSPFN to display the CCSPFN—Search Specification screen.
  3. Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search to display specifications that match the criteria.
  4. Select the required specifications and click Select and Return.
  5. Close the CCSPFN—Search Specification screen.
  6. Click Submit.

To update a specification:

  1. Access sample specifications for a sample group or single sample.
  2. Select Primary Specification on the row containing the specification that is used to determine a sample scheme analyte's Specification Status in the sample.
  3. Select Reportable to include a sample specification in reporting result sets.

To remove a specification:

  1. Access sample specifications for a sample group or single sample.
  2. Click Delete at the beginning of the row containing the sample specification.
  3. Click Submit.

To enter product specification result note:

  1. Access sample specifications for a sample group or single sample.
  2. Update Product Specification Result Notes.

    Since this is typically done after analysis, a Product Code should have already been selected and product assessment taken place on sample results to set the sample specification's Specification Status, as shown in the sample specifications grid.

  3. Format entered text using the toolbar. HTML formatted text can be pasted from one CCLAS rich text notes field into another rich text notes field, such that, the formatting is preserved.

  4. To insert a Canned Comment, click F2 to display the Select Canned Comment dialog box.

  5. Select the default or another Canned Comment Type and Canned Comment Subtype.

  6. Select an optional Category Code to filter the Canned Comment Code drop-down list by the selected category.

  7. Enter or select Canned Comment Code from the drop-down list to embed the canned comment long form content into the note field. Note that Cancel can be clicked at any time to exit canned comment selection.

  8. Click Submit.
