Opening a Quality Results Viewer Session

Overview

The quality results viewer allows QC manager or QC chemists to review analytical results across multiple jobs, to ensure that the analytical tests meet the requirements of the customers by comparing results for tests in the jobs.

Process

The CCSAMP—Sample application allows you to search for samples based upon various analytical criteria. The CCQROP—Results Viewer application, which is a version of the CCWKOP—Open Workbook application launched in normal display mode that displays tests across the page and samples down the page and read-only, can then be launched for selected samples.

Multiple quality results viewer sessions can be opened at a time.

Locating Tests for Selected Samples

Once sample search criteria are entered on the CCSAMP—Search Sample screen, samples can be searched for the matching criteria. Refer to Maintaining Samples. After samples are selected, they can be passed to the CCQROP—Results Viewer application, such that, the samples are searched to derive the unique list of schemes with are then displayed on the CCQROP—Search Results Viewer screen. One scheme row appears for each unique scheme version throughout all of the selected samples.

Samples in org-scope jobs can be passed to the quality results viewer, however samples in both org-scope jobs and lab-scope jobs cannot be opened in the quality results viewer session.

The Archive Status of the searched samples is determined for the samples passed into the CCQROP—Search Results Viewer application from the CCSAMP—Search Sample screen, as the most remote archive location for the selected samples.

The schemes that are returned from a search depend upon the Scheme Type and are those that could be opened in a workbook session opened with a Data Mode of Final Results mode.

Samples opened in a quality results viewer session can be from one or more job, and be from any type of job as long as all selected samples are from the same type of job, and can be of any primary analytical type.

Schemes are returned from the search where the scheme in the selected jobs contains at least one analyte with an Analyte Type of Analytical.

Analytes with an Analyte Type of Analytical and Preparation Other are returned from the search, however, preparation other analytes are opened as read-only in the workbook session.

A scheme can be expanded to show its analytes that exist on the searched jobs. One analyte row appears under each scheme row for each unique scheme version analyte throughout all the selected jobs. Sub-analytes are not displayed in this grid (that is, where the scheme version analyte's Parent Analyte Code is not defined), however they are displayed in the workbook). Refer to Conditions for Workbook Sub-analytes Display.

When a user is searching for workbooks in CCWKOP—Open Workbook, the section's Access User Group Code associated with the opened schemes determines which schemes are visible to a user.

A quality results viewer session can only be opened in read-only mode.

Exporting the Tests for a Quality Results Viewer Session to Excel

Schemes and analytes returned for the quality results viewer can be exported to Excel or a report.

Opening a Quality Results Viewer Session

One or more schemes and/or analytes can be selected for opening in the CCQROP—Results Viewer Detail screen. Only rows pertaining to one scheme version of a scheme can be selected and opened in the quality results viewer, that is, the same scheme with a different scheme version is not allowed for viewing.

Open a quality results reviewer session

A quality results viewer session can only be launched in normal display mode.

The columns are populated with the selected samples, and the grid is populated with final results and is display only.

One audit record is written per job associated with the samples, for each scheme loaded into the workbook containing a comma-separated list of analytes opened for the session. Note that the Application Name associated with these job audit records is set to CCWKBK.

Limitations

The quality results viewer grid has a limit of 100,000 sample scheme analytes which is a cross section of the number of samples to analytes. This limitation is similar to workbook.

Reporting

Once a quality results viewer session is opened, the RRBuilder API can be used to create report requests for selected sample scheme analyte cells, similarly to workbook.

Customisation of a Quality Results Viewer Session

Once the results of the selected samples are displayed, then the WorkbookAPI is available to scripts, to perform statistical or other review, as per custom requirements.
