Maintain Report Template Designs
When you display a report for printing, you can modify the layout of the report. If you save the modified layout as a template, that template can be maintained in Site Maintenance. See Maintain Report Templates.
Activity Steps
- Open the Report Designer for the report or sheet type.
- Click Enter Design Mode.
- Edit the design. For example, you can add fields from the reports data dictionary:
- Select the Dictionary tab (in the bottom-right corner of the screen).
- Expand the Data Sources » ReportData node.
- Expand the node(s) for the required data table(s).
Note: The available data tables and fields are specific to each report template type. Each field name has a short caption in square brackets to describe the field data. For more information about the available fields, see the Data Dictionary for Text Reports. Fields that include a Hole_C_, Pattern_C_, MineBlock_C_ or MineSite_C_ prefix are Custom Properties. The caption does not appear on the report; however, you can use the Text or Rich Text tools in the left-hand toolbar to add a text label for each field as required.
- Drag fields from the data tables onto the report as required.
- Select the Properties tab.
- Edit the design properties for each field as required.
