File Formats

As you work with DataBlast Ignite, you may need to import from and export data to various file formats. In this help, file formats are referenced by file extension.

.00t

A drawing file format used with Maptek Vulcan.

Note: A global transparency can be set in Maptek Vulcan, which affects exported files. When you import an 00T file, you can specify a transparency.

.arch_d

A drawing file format used with Maptek Vulcan.

.bak

A file format for SQL database backups.

.colourmap

A proprietary file format for DataBlast Ignite colours.

.csv

A common file format that can be used with any text editor or spreadsheet application. Depending on the activity, the separator character does not have to be a comma.

.dbif

DataBlast Design Interchange File

A proprietary file format that contains data about holes, surfaces and where the holes intersect with the surfaces.

Note: The .dbif file format may be deprecated in a future release of DataBlast Ignite.

.dcit

DataBlast CSV Import Template

A proprietary file format for DataBlast Ignite templates for importing CSV data.

.dcst

DataBlast Charge Standards Transfer

A proprietary file format for DataBlast Ignite charge standards.

.dgn

A drawing file format.

.dm

A drawing file format used with various Datamine products, including Studio.

Note: If you are importing a .dm triangulation file, DataBlast Ignite expects to find a .dm point file in the same directory location. If not found, a prompt displays to locate the .dm point file. However, you can import a .dm point file without importing the triangulation file.

.dspt

DataBlast Product Transfer

A proprietary file format for DataBlast Ignite products.

.dwg

'Drawing'

A file format used for storing 2D and 3D design data and metadata. The format is used in several CAD packages including AutoCAD, IntelliCAD and Caddie.

.dxf

Digital eXchange Format

A data format defined by Autodesk originally for the transfer of data between CAD systems.

.tif

DataBlast Ignite can import GeoTIFF files, which store georeference information in a TIFF (rastor image) file.

.mdf

A file format for SQL databases.

.mrt

A report file format used with Stimulsoft Reports.

.sfg

A drawing file format used with Maptek Vulcan.

.srg

A drawing file format used with Maptek Vulcan.

.txt A common file format that can be used with any text editor.

.vdlc

A drawing file format.

.vdml

Vector Data Mark-up Language

A drawing file format.

.zbk

A proprietary file format for DataBlast Ignite zipped database backup files.
