Export Hole Design to a Drill Navigation System

Note: Exporting hole designs to a drill navigation system also sets the Sent to Drill hole property to True (see Change the Sent-to-Drill Status of Holes).

Activity Steps

  1. Select the Design module.
  2. Select a drill pattern in the DataBlast Items Tree.

The drill pattern displays in the Viewport.

Note: If you display multiple drill patterns, only holes in the active pattern are exported. See Make a Pattern Active. You can also select or filter holes in the active pattern for export. See Select Objects in the Viewport and Filter Displayed Holes.

  3. On the Design Ribbon Menu, in the Drill Navigation group, click Export to Drill Navigation.

The Hole Design to Drill Navigation Export screen displays.

  4. Select the Drill Navigation System from:
    • Leica DrillNav Plus
    • Atlas Copco Drill
    • Atlas Copco Drill (Auto Send to Drills)—Requires existing export configuration for the DataBlast Pro Service. No new export configuration can be created for this deprecated functionality. Not applicable to DataBlast Ignite.
    • MiPlan—Requires export configuration for the DataBlast Pro Service. Not applicable to DataBlast Ignite.
    • CAT Terrain Drill System
    • Wenco
    • Modular ProVision Drill
    • Carlson Drill Guidance
    • Flanders ARDVARC
    • Jigsaw

As required for the drill navigation system, the list of required files displays in Generated File(s).

Note: The files that DataBlast Ignite exports are in formats that can be imported into the selected drill navigation system.

  5. As required for the selected drill navigation system, select whether to:
    • Include Drilled Holes
    • Force Update
    • Include Hole Options—Exports additional data.
    • Include MWD Data—Export measure-while-drilling (MWD) data.
    • Use Local Site Internal Navigation IDs—Export hole IDs that are unique across the entire mine site and for the history of the drill navigation system.
    • Vertical Drill Only—Export simplified data that assumes that only vertical drilling is to be performed.
  6. Click the ellipsis (...) to browse for and select an Output Directory.
  7. Click Export.
