Views
A view is a data window where information is presented in a particular way.
In DTS, there are five types of view:
-
A Schedule view – The main view of a schedule, including task list, Gantt chart, Crosstab and timeline. This is where most of the functions of DTS reside.
-
A Pivot Table view – A View for summarizing task data and grouping this in a multitude of ways (both on the horizontal and vertical axes). Unlike other pivot table tools (such as Excel), DTS is able to create weighted cross tabulations.
-
A Dashboard view – A customizable page where you can design and display charts using a huge range of options.
-
A Flowchart view – Use this view to see how your destinations connect via your haulage network.
-
A Custom view – Define your own view with whatever upper and lower screen content you need.
To create a new standard view:
-
First, load a schedule.
-
Display the View ribbon.
-
In the Create New View group, select either Schedule, Pivot Table, Dashboard or Flowchart.
A new view is created.
