Task Tables

To access this screen:

  • Format ribbon >> Setup Layouts >> Task Table Layout.

Configure the columns that appear in the The Tasks Area.

Configurations are stored in discrete layouts. You can have one or more layouts and swap between different configurations: Select a layout on the left and click OK and the Task Area updates to the new configuration.

For each task table layout, specify the columns you want to see in the task table by adding them to the data grid. A row in the data grid is equivalent to a column in the Tasks Area.

You can reorder the table rows by selecting a table row (any cell) and using the up and down arrows to adjust the row order.

To create a new Task Table layout:

  1. Display the Task Table screen.

  2. Click New to add a new entry to the list on the left:

  3. Do you want to Lock the table column? Select this option to lock the column in the task table. The column remains fixed and visible whilst you scroll through the task display.

When you lock a column, all columns to the left of the selected column (or above the selected column in the data grid) will also be locked. If you unlock a column, all columns to the right of the selected column (or below the selected column in the data grid) will also be unlocked.

  4. Define the parameters for the Task Table layout:

    • Field – Select the name of the field to be displayed from the drop-down list. All fields are shown in alphabetical order.

Tip: To quickly jump to a field name, start typing the name. The list is positioned at the field name that contains the value that you type. You can also create a new table row and select a field at the same time using the ellipsis (...) button. See Select Fields.

    • Title – Enter your own title for this column. This value is used for display purposes only.

Note: If you supply a title, the entered value overrides the default column name. Leave this field blank to display the default column name in the task table.

    • Width – Specify the width of the column in the task table.

The column width can also be changed directly in the task table by dragging the column separator in the header area left or right.

    • Alignment – Specify the alignment of the value in the column. Select a valid value from the drop-down list.

Note: The alignment does not apply to the Name column.

    • Format – See Field Formats.

  5. Click OK and save your project.
