Material Categories

To display this screen:

• Project Settings >> Fields >> Material Categories.

Define material categories to control material-specific scheduling parameters. These are a type of scheduling field.

This screen is only relevant when you import data from Studio OP which already has material categories defined. Adding material categories manually will not have any effect on the schedule, and will not enable the Categories page of the Task Information screen.

To set up a new material category for your schedule:

1. Display the Material Categories screen.

   Existing material categories display in the table.

2. Click into the empty table row at the bottom and define the following:

   • Name – Enter a material category code, which must be unique for the active project.

   • Description

   • Default Destination – An existing destination to which the material is sent by default, unless this is overridden by other scheduling constraints.

3. Click OK.

4. Save your project.
