Isolines Property

The Isolines property is designed to display a variable on a grid by a set of isolines.

Firstly select the Variable of your choice in the variables list.

Select the option Use the Classes of the Variable Color Scale as Contouring Levels to use the same classes of isolines as the ones of the color scale associated to the variable. Untick the option to define your own classes and access the following properties:

  • Two classes definition modes are available:

    • a Regular Mode. The principle is to display all the isolines corresponding to values lying within the definition interval (i.e. between the Minimum and the Maximum values), and obtained by successive additions (or subtractions) of the Step value, starting from the Reference value.

    • an Irregular Mode to display given levels of isolines.

Pass your mouse on the Levels part of the interface and click the button to open the Levels selector.

To add a specific level of your choice, enter a value in Add Value and click on the button. You can add as many levels as you want. They will all share the same graphic properties (line style, display of labels and unit).

To delete level(s), select it from the levels list and click on the button or to delete the entire list.

  • Define a Style by:

    • Choosing a line Style,
    • Entering a Width in pixels,
    • Selecting a Color using the Color Selector.
    • Or activating the Use the Variable Color Scale option to display isolines using colors defined in the color scale associated to the variable.
  • Tick/untick the Labels option to activate/disable the display of the isolines labels.
  • Tick/untick the Units option to activate/disable the display of the units associated to isolines labels.

Note: To see/modify the color scale associated to the variable, edit the properties of the variable in the Data tab.

  • You can display several sets of isolines. Click to add a new set. Select a set of isolines and:

    • Click to delete it.
    • Use / to move backward / forward the selected set. The order of display depends on the order in the list (the set at the top of the list will overlay the others).
    • Tick/untick the Visible option to display or hide the set of your choice.
