Main View

The Main View of Isatis.neo is able to display one of the following window:

  • scene(s) from the Map Window: This is the G.I.S. (Geographic Information System) component of Isatis.neo. From this window you can load and display background images or vector maps, display and add samples on-the-fly, create and edit zones, display boreholes tops and visualize 2D results.
  • scene(s) from the 3D Viewer: Help to improve the understanding of your 3D data by using advanced 3D visualization techniques. Designed to represent boreholes, surfaces and contacts, as well as 3D results.
  • scene(s) from the Section Viewer: To clip data along various consecutive planes with a 2D rendering.

Some useful keyboard shortcuts:

  • In the 2D map layers and 3D scene items:

    • F2 to rename.
    • Del to delete.
    • Ctrl + A to select all.
    • Ctrl + click to select several items.
    • Shift + click to select all the items included between the two clicked ones.
  • In the 3D scene view:

    • H to show/hide the help.
    • Escape to switch between the pan and pick modes. Note that ESCAPE also allows to quit a started action such as the seek or the knife.
    • Home (view all) to change the camera position in order to visualize all objects. Note that this key is not available in all keyboard devices.
    • K (Seek mode) to set the viewer in "waiting-to-seek" mode. When clicking on a point in the view, the camera will be repositioned so that the camera focal point lies on the point of the geometry under the mouse cursor.
    • O to switch the camera view to orthographic projection.
    • P to switch the camera view to perspective projection.
    • U (view from top) to set the camera position along the Z axis in order to view the top of the scene on an horizontal projection plane.
    • D (view from bottom) to set the camera position along the Z axis in order to view the bottom of the scene on an horizontal projection plane.
    • S (view from south) to set the camera position along the Y axis in order to view the south side of the view on a vertical projection plane.
    • E (view from east) to set the camera position along the X axis in order to view the east side of the view on a vertical projection plane.
    • N (view from north) to set the camera position along the Y axis in order to view the north side of the view on a vertical projection plane.
    • W (view from west) to set the camera position along the X axis in order to view the west side of the view on a vertical projection plane.
    • C to activate the Knife mode and create a cross-section on the fly.
    • Ctrl + R to send to the report.
