Ribbon

The Ribbon gives you access to:

  • Project Manager: Go to the Project Manager to perform all the operations on your project (Open, Close, Save, Rename, Attach, Detach, Make/Restore a Backup...). You can also get information about your project (physical path, coordinate system...) and refresh or save it.
  • Home: for data exchanges (import/export), graphic representations (with display in the 2D Map, the 3D Viewer or the Log Display), set-up of Preferences, access to the different explorers (Data, Geostatistical Sets, Scenes, etc).
  • Data Management: for pre and post-processing functionalities: creation of different objects (grids, polygons) or variables (particularly selections), operations on samples (compositing, declustering, look for duplicates, etc), editing tools (calculator, variable editor, etc) and data transfer between different data files.
  • Statistics: For data statistical or geostatistical exploration and modeling, particularly with the Exploratory Data Analysis which enables an interactive spatial data analysis and the creation of Geostatistical Sets.
  • Interpolation: For estimations (deterministic methods with Quick Interpolation and geostatistical approach with Kriging) and Simulations.
  • Resources Workflow: This menu is designed to geologists involved in geological domaining or in resource estimation who are not necessarily experts in geostatistics and want to deal with geostatistical methodologies but in an automatic way. Only available in Isatis.neo mining edition.

  • Early Access: This menu contains functionalities that are still under development. The goal is to give you a chance to be the first to have access to these tools, before that will be adopted by tomorrow’s customers.

    Note: Be aware that the functionalities have a non-optimized interface.

    The Early Access ribbon is characterized by specific background color to distinguish it from "finished functionalities".

    The tasks are also available through the Quick Launch bar. The special background color allows to distinguish them from the «finished functionalities».

  • Send Feedback: Through the following button located on the task interface, you have the capability to give your opinion of the task(s) you used. The button redirect you to a Google Form survey on an Internet page. Your answers will be taken into account during the future incorporation of the functionality into the main ribbon.
  • Batch: For the batch files management and batch procedures. The batch actions are reachable in each section of the ribbon. The different icons offer possibilities for creating and running Isatis.neo application in batch. Actions can be recorded in a batch file automatically or asking for confirmation when running tasks interactively. A batch file can afterwards be selected to redo all or part of the previously stored actions.
  • Quick Launch: Clicking in this area or using the shortcut Ctrl+Q enables you to write key words. The application will list all the Isatis.neo features whose name contains the entering string of characters. Selecting one of these (clicking on it or using the arrows of your keyboard and pressing Enter) will pop up the panel.

Some useful keyboard shortcuts:

  • Pressing Shift on the task ribbon icon disables fiche loading. That is to say you are able to open a task without loading its parameters to restart from scratch, in order to avoid depending on previous parameters (might take time to load window, crash application, ...).
  • Moreover, a task cannot be opened several times by default except if you really ask for by pressing Ctrl.
