Manage Failed Wireframes
MSO can optionally generate wireframes for shapes that were rejected due to failure criteria (economic or geometric). This can be useful in determining the impact of other MSO settings.
By filtering output wireframes (using the various filtering options available on the Format ribbon, for example), individual features can be extracted for further analysis; a good example of this is evaluating the annealed stope-shape prior to the dilution skins.
Note: These settings are not available if you choose to Only output Tube Wireframes for this scenario. See Manage Tube Wireframes.
Note: These settings are relevant to Slice and Boundary Surface optimization methods only.
Activity steps
-
Create an MSO scenario and define a block model.
-
Configure other settings as required.
-
Display the Files screen.
-
Expand the Failed Wireframes command group.
-
Check Output Failed Wireframes.
-
Review (and optionally edit) the output Failed Wireframes base file name.
Note: A standard Datamine wireframe file pair is produced, with automatic "tr" and "pt" suffixes.
-
Define the following colours to identify key components of output failed wireframes data:
-
Sub-Economic Colour – The colour used for stopes that failed due to economic constraints.
-
Failed Sub-Economic Colour – The colour used for marginal or conditionally economic stopes that still failed.
-
Failed Economic Colour – The colour used for stopes that failed geometric checks despite being economic.
-
-
Save your settings and continue defining output file settings.
