Set the Evaluation Method
In MSO, the Report screen lets you define how final optimization results are evaluated and reported, balancing between performance and detail.
Activity steps
-
Create an MSO scenario and define a block model.
-
Configure other settings as required.
-
Display the Report screen.
-
Expand the Evaluation Method control group.
-
Choose a Report Type:
-
Total – Generate a single-line summary of the entire optimization run. Useful for high-level comparisons between scenarios.
-
Summary – Aggregate stope data based on the reporting fields (for example, REGION, RESTYPE). Ideal for domain-level reporting.
-
All – Output detailed results for every individual stope. Recommended when you need full granularity or are exporting data to external systems.
-
-
Select an Evaluation Method. This determines the level of numerical precision and amount of report detail. It includes two components: Run Precision and Report Detail.
-
Run Precision - Approximate – Use voxel-based approximations for faster calculation. Suitable for early-stage testing or large models.
-
Run Precision – Exact – Use exact stope geometry for highly accurate evaluations. Recommended for final scenario selection or reporting.
-
Report Precision – Approximate – Output only essential stope and scenario metrics. Keeps reports lightweight.
-
Report Precision – Exact – Include expanded metrics, such as dilution breakdowns, ore/waste ratios, and spatial information. Suitable for auditing or technical reviews.
