Create Trains Using a Train Schedule Definition

Security Note: You need the Allow new train despatch from template security right in the Despatches user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Train Explorer.
  2. Right-click in the Timetable tab and select New From Train Schedule from the menu.
  3. Expand the Train Schedules tree and select the train schedule definition.

The Train Schedule Definition displays the train schedules.

  4. Update the following fields for each train schedule as required.
    • Number Of Despatches—Default: 1.
    • Day Of Week
    • Start Date—Estimated time of arrival at the first route point. Default: The Time configured in the Train Schedule Definition (configuration) screen, on the next date that matches the Day Of Week.
    • Note: The Service ID is not used during train creation and can be left blank.

  5. Click Create Despatches.
  6. Confirm the despatch creation.

Note: Do not edit the ETA (Source) in this screen. Instead, see Enter Route Point Dates for a Train.

  7. Click Save.

Note: If the Train status definition exists, the trains are assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the trains are editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
