Edit Despatch Order Specifications

If the despatch order is in a quota, the despatch order inherits the specifications of the quota. If the despatch order is not in a quota, the despatch order inherits the specifications of the contract product. You can override the specifications for a despatch order if required.

Changes to contract product or quota specifications do not automatically update the despatch order specifications. However, changed specifications can be synchronised to uninvoiced despatch orders. See Synchronise Contract Product Specifications to Despatch Orders and Synchronise Quota Specifications to Despatch Orders.

MineMarket updates the Analyte Content, Value and Value Source each time the MineMarket Marketing Service each time applicable data is saved and warehousing is complete. In ascending order of precedence, the value source can be:

  • Assume Source—Values that the loaded bulk materials or discrete units have from samples or surveys earlier in the supply chain
  • Loading—Sample values on the despatch at the loading location
  • Unloading—Sample values on the despatch at the unloading location
  • Avg. Loading & Unloading
  • Assay Exchange - Partial
  • Assay Exchange - Final
  • Deemed
  • Stockpile—Only applicable if the despatch order has a Linked Stockpile, Stockpile State Date and Stockpile State Rules specified on the Details tab and used for reporting purposes. Values represent the monetary value of the stockpile.

The value and value source do not display if the value source is Specifications.

If the analyte is applicable to multiple despatch orders; for example, if the specification is of an aggregated parent despatch order (APDO) with multiple child despatch orders (CDOs), the lowest applicable value source displays. See Parent and Child Despatch Orders.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain despatch orders security right in the Contracts domain security rights group for this activity. To change the status of an analyte in the specification, you need the specific Analyte Specification status transition as an allowed status transition. Status link configuration may require that only different users can change consecutive statuses, or that the user who changes the status cannot be the user who last modified the analyte specification.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Despatch Order.

Note: You can also edit despatch order specifications via the Despatch Orders node in the Sales Contract or Purchase Contract, or via the Despatch Orders tab on the node for the quota.
If the despatch order is on a despatch, you can edit specifications via the Despatch Orders tab of the applicable Train, Truck Despatch, Service Trip, Shipment or Lot Despatch. In this scenario, you need the additional security right specific to the despatch type:
Allow the user to maintain despatch orders on trains in the Trains domain security rights group
Allow the user to maintain despatch orders on truck despatches in the Trucks domain security rights group
Allow the user to maintain despatch orders on barge service trips in the Barge Despatches domain security rights group
Allow the user to maintain despatch orders on shipments in the Shipments domain security rights group
Allow lot despatch maintenance in the Lot Despatches domain security rights group

  2. Select the Specification tab.
  3. Update the following fields for each analyte as required.
    • Unit—Select from the units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor.
    • Standard—Select from the Standards list items defined in the List Editor.
    • Target
    • Minimum
    • Lower Warning Limit
    • Upper Warning Limit
    • Maximum
    • Status—Only applicable if the Analyte Specification status definition exists. If the Analyte Specification status definition exists, MineMarket assigns the initial status to the analyte specification when the despatch order is created. This status definition controls whether the analyte specification is editable and selectable. Select from the statuses for which there is a valid status transition in the Analyte Specification status definition. See Status Definitions.

Note: The Blend Plan is not editable and does not display values for a despatch order, even if a blend has been assigned to the despatch order via a despatch. See Blending.

  4. To add an analyte, right-click and select Add » [Analyte Definition] from the menu.

You can also drag analytes and analyte groups from the Quality panel of the Solution Explorer.

  5. To view or edit the properties of the specifications of an individual analyte, right-click the analyte and select Display Specifications In Property Window from the menu. See Enter Extended Data for MineMarket Objects.
  6. To view or edit the status history for an individual analyte, right-click the analyte and select Open Analyte Status History from the menu. Only applicable if the Analyte Specification status definition exists.
  7. Click Save.
