MineMarket User Interface
The MineMarket Client is a Windows application. This section describes:
- Screen Layout—The ribbon menu and tabs in the navigation pane
- User Interface General Principles—Creating, renaming, deleting and saving objects, searching for objects, working with tabs
- Aliases, Extended Data and Export Mappings—Fields used to identify objects within MineMarket and when interfacing with other applications
Themes
A theme defines the visual style of an user interface, including colours, typography and other elements. Three colour themes are available for the MineMarket user interface. To change the theme, click Style in the top-right corner of the user interface and select from Blue, Silver and Dark.
Maximising the MineMarket Display
Many screens in MineMarket have multiple tabs and tables, and many fields. To maximise what you can see on a screen:
- Double-click a ribbon tab name to collapse the ribbon area.
- Create your own toolbar of favourite ribbon icons. See Menus.
- Dock the navigation pane. See Customise the Navigation Pane.
- Collapse sections of screens. Look for minimise icons in the top-left of field groups.
- Drag sections of screens. Look for slider icons between tabs and tables.
- Use multiple monitors. See Move a Screen to a Separate Window, Move a Screen to the Group Form and Reattach Screens.
Saved MineMarket Client Settings
When you change the display of the MineMarket Client, these settings are saved locally per user. For example, if you change the width of table columns in a MineMarket screen, those widths are saved. The next time you open that screen, the table appears with your saved column widths.
MineMarket saves these settings in the C:\Users\<YourMineMarketLoginName>\AppData\Local\Datamine\MineMarket\<VersionNumber> folder. This folder includes the following files.
- BulkTrakUserDefinition.14.1.xml—Stores changes to the locations of dockable panes and the ribbon and status bar.
- BTGridEXSettings.xml—Stores changes to column widths on explorer screens.
- SearchTermAutoCompleteStringCollection.xml—Stores changes to search options.
- BTGridColumns\—Multiple files that store changes to table columns.
- BTGridGroupingColumns\—Multiple files that store changes to billboard columns or grouping.
Tip: If a ribbon or toolbar is missing or not displaying correctly, click Default Interface Definition on the Application Ribbon Tab. If that menu option does not resolve the issue:
- Close the MineMarket Client.
- Delete BulkTrakUserDefinition.14.1.xml or even the whole C:\Users\<YourMineMarketLoginName>\AppData\Local\Datamine\MineMarket\<VersionNumber> folder.
- Restart the MineMarket Client.
MineMarket regenerates the files as required.
