Assign Analytes to a Material Flow

Note: If a calculated analyte is to be included in any weighted-average calculations, it is more accurate to create an analyte definition with a Value Type of Calculated. The analyte should then not be added to the process flow because it is automatically calculated, and cannot be overridden by surveys or samples.

This activity is applicable to process flows, packing process flows and movement flows.

Security Note: You need the Allow process flow maintenance security right in the Supply Chain user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Process Flow, Packing Process Flow or Movement Flow.
  2. Select the Process Flow Analytes tab.
  3. Select the Quality panel in the Solution Explorer.
  4. Expand the Analytes node.
  5. To add a single analyte definition, expand the Analyte Definitions node and drag an analyte definition into the Process Flow Analytes table.
  6. To add all the analytes from an analyte group, expand the Analyte Groups node and drag an analyte group and into the Process Flow Analytes table.
  7. Select the Assumption Type for each analyte. See Material Flows for information about quality assumptions.
  8. If the Assumption Type is Assume Defaults, enter the Default Value.
  9. If the Assumption Type is Assume Calculated, enter the Analyte Formula.
  10. Click Save.
