Enter Sample Data for a Bulk Transaction

This activity is only applicable if the process flows in the transaction template have sample templates assigned to them. See Set up a Transaction Editor and Assign a Sample Template to a Material Flow.

Security Note: You need the Allow transactions maintenance security right in the Transactions user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Transaction Editor.

    The Transactions tab displays the last transaction that was entered.

  2. To display a previous transaction:
    1. Select the Transaction History tab.
    2. Enter the following search criteria as required.
      • Start Date
      • End Date
    3. Click Refresh.
    4. Double-click a transaction, away from the Transaction Date column.

      The Transactions tab displays the selected transaction.

  3. Enter the sample quality for each analyte and transaction in the Transactions table.

    Note: Press Tab or Enter to move between cells when entering sample data. Use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste data into the table. Data is pasted into cells from left to right for rows, and top to bottom for columns.

    If Disable Current State Query is unchecked in the transaction template, the source and destination qualities display in the Quality table.

  4. Click Save.

    Note: If the Sample status definition exists, the sample is assigned the initial status. This status definition controls whether the sample is editable and selectable. See Status Definitions.
