Move Containers

This activity presumes that a movement flow exists between the current location and the destination. See Create a Movement Flow.

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to view the Container Explorer security right in the Menu user group security rights group for this activity. Other security rights apply if you move the container by moving its package group. See Containers.

Activity Steps

1. Open the Container Explorer.
2. Find the container or containers. See Find Containers.
3. Check Selected for the containers to be moved.
4. To select multiple consecutive containers:
   1. Highlight the containers. (Click the first container in the sequence, hold down the Shift key, then click the last container in the sequence; or click the first container in the sequence and drag the mouse to the last container in the sequence.)
   2. Right-click and select Select from the menu.
5. Right-click in the table and select Move Selected from the menu.

   The Select Destination screen displays.

6. Update the Date of the container movement if required.
7. Select the Destination from the locations defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer. (A discrete unit division cannot be selected.)
8. Click Move Container.

   An error message displays if there is no movement flow to the selected destination.

9. Click Save.
