Add a Contract Charge to a Despatch Order

When invoicing a despatch order, contract charges from multiple sources can apply. Contract charges added to a despatch order do not override any contract charges inherited from the contract, even if the charges are of the same type. For standard despatch orders:

  1. Contract charges from the contract always apply.
  2. If the despatch order has contract charges, these contract charges also apply.

If the despatch order to be invoiced is a child despatch order (CDO) (see Parent and Child Despatch Orders) of an aggregated parent despatch order (APDO), consignment parent despatch order (CPDO) or split parent despatch order (SPDO), the following process is used to determine the applicable contract charges:

  1. Contract charges from the contract always apply.
  2. If the CDO has contract charges, these contract charges also apply.
  3. If the CDO does not have contract charges, but the PDO has contract charges, the PDO contract charges also apply.
