Override Contractual Assay Rules for a Despatch Order

When invoicing a despatch order, only one set of assay rules can apply. If the despatch order to be invoiced is a child despatch order (CDO) (see Parent and Child Despatch Orders) of an aggregated parent despatch order (APDO), consignment parent despatch order (CPDO) or split parent despatch order (SPDO), the following process is used to determine the applicable set of assay rules:

  • If the CDO has an assay rules override, the CDO assay rules are used in invoicing.
  • If the CDO does not have an assay rules override, but the PDO has an override, the PDO assay rules are used in invoicing.
  • If the PDO does not have an assay rules override, but the contract quota (if associated with the PDO) has an override, the quota assay rules are used in invoicing, even if the date of the CDO is outside of the quota date range.
  • If the PDO is not associated with a contract quota with an assay rules override, the contract assay rules are used in invoicing.
