Set up a Toll Account

Security Note: You need the Allow the user to maintain toll accounts security right in the Accounting user group security rights group for this activity.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Toll Accounts screen.
  2. To create a new toll account category:
    1. Right-click in the Toll Account Categories field group and select New from the menu.
    2. Update the Name of the toll account category if required.
  3. To create a new toll account:
    1. Select the toll account category.
    2. Right-click in the Toll Accounts field group and select New from the menu.
    3. Update the Name of the toll account if required.
  4. Complete the following toll account details:
    • Analyte—Select from the analyte definitions defined on the Quality panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • UOM—Select from the Mass units defined in the Unit Conversion Editor.
    • Owner—Organisation that owns the material in the toll account. Select from the organisations and companies defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Organisations—Organisations that are associated with the toll account. Select from the organisations and companies defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • District—Select from the districts defined on the Organisations panel of the Solution Explorer.
    • Location—Select from the toll locations defined on the Supply Chain panel of the Solution Explorer.

      Note: In order to create transactions for a toll account, an applicable process flow must be created that specifies the toll account's location as a source location (for unloading transactions) or destination location (for loading transactions) for the process flow. See Create a Process Flow.

    • Non-Final Tollable Percentage—Percentage by which to multiply the payable content if the assay exchange for the analyte is not complete. Example: A toll account has a non-final tollable percentage of 95%. A despatch order has gold as a tollable analyte. The payable content of gold is 1000 lb. If the assay exchange is complete, the toll transaction quantity is the full 1000 lb. However, while the assay exchange is incomplete, the toll transaction quantity is 950 lb.
  5. Click Save.
