Task Panes

A task pane is a grouped list of shortcuts or bookmarks to favourite MineMarket objects or web pages configured to display in the MineMarket Client user interface.

System administrators can use task pane templates to customise and assign task panes to a user group. When a user in the user group runs the MineMarket Client, they always see the task pane assigned to their user group. Each task pane template must be in a task pane template group. See Set up a Task Pane Template.

Users can also add shortcuts to their own task pane. The user's own shortcuts display in addition to the shortcuts defined in a task pane template. See Create Shortcuts in the Task Pane.

A system administrator can force the refresh of the task pane by selecting Refresh Taskpane on the User Group. Forcing a task pane refresh restores the task pane template for all users in the user group and removes a user's own shortcuts.

Objects and web pages in the task pane can also be configured to display when MineMarket opens. Each web page or object opens in a new tab in the View Pane, with the Start Screen displayed by default. See MineMarket Start Screen.

Each task pane or task pane template has one or more task pane groups. You can add new groups to an existing task pane or task pane template, or remove existing groups from a task pane or task pane template. You can add web pages and the following Solution Explorer nodes to a task pane group.
