Publish authorised data
Published data is a copy of the live data that has been fully authorised, marked as 'published' in the Production Accounting database, and can be used in reports.
When the data in a day or month authorisation process has been approved at all levels, the system takes 'point in time' snapshot of the metal accounts. This snapshot data is identified in the database as 'published' and is stored in a separate database table. The published data can then be included in reports, and those reports can be exported to various file formats as required. See Reports.
Publishing is an automated stage in the data authorisation process. Once all authorisation levels are complete, no additional user steps are required to publish.
Note: If changes are made to published data, the Production Accounting system may be configured to 'quarantine' those changes pending review by authorised users. See Data Quarantine. Depending on the outcome of quarantine review, the updated data may need to be re-authorised. See Correct and reauthorise data.
