View forecast summaries

Forecast data can be entered into the Production Accounting application. This allows for tracking and analysis of actual production data against forecasts.

Forecast summaries display the forecast data for a given time period; for example, a month, quarter or year. Data presented in a forecast summary is sourced from forecast entry logsheets (and data entry logsheets if configured to display actuals and variances against forecasts).

Activity Steps

  1. Open the required Forecast Summary screen.
  2. Select the date or time period using the Year, Month and Day fields.

Note: Use the arrow buttons to select the previous or next period. Date selector previous period button Date selector next period button

  3. Click Submit.

The forecast summary for the selected date or time period displays.

The forecast summary logsheet interface generally includes:

    • Sections—Display on the far left. When a forecast summary logsheet has multiple sections, they display as a vertical list. Logsheet sections group the data fields for particular processes, circuits, or equipment; for example, feeds, grinding, concentrators, tanks. The first section in the list is selected by default when the screen loads.
    • Subsections—Display to the right of the sections. Some sections have multiple sub-sections. Subsections group the data fields within processes, circuits, or equipment.
    • Subsection items—Display to the right of the subsections. Subsection items are the specific items for which forecast data is summarised. Examples may include the forecast, actual and variance values for mass, assays, or equipment utilisation or throughput rates. The relevant unit or symbol displays for each item; for example, %, ppm, t, g/t, h.
    • Data cells—Display to the right of the subsection items. Data cells hold the numeric values for each subsection item. Data cells in forecast summary logsheets are read-only. These values are totals, aggregates or averages calculated from the values in the forecast entry and data entry logsheets.

Note: Icons may display next to data cells.

The calculator icon is for the Calculation Tracer, used to view the inputs and calculation paths for that data value. See Calculation Traces.

    • Log Time—Displays in the top row above the data cells. Shows the date and time for which the forecast data is summarised. All logsheet data in Production Accounting is stored against the beginning of the period that the logsheet represents. For example, a month forecast summary is timestamped with the first day of the month and the 'start time' of that day (often the start time of the morning shift, such as 07:00). For example, a forecast summary for March 2024 has a Log Time of 01/03/2024 07:00 but the summary is of forecast (and production data) logged from 01 to 31 March.
  4. If required, select another logsheet section from the list to view its forecast summary.
