View and Filter the Data Overview

Use this activity to review dataset coverage and check the approval status of data for a selected period before reconciliation and reporting.

Activity Steps

  1. Open the Data Overview Screen.

The Data Overview screen displays the data grid.

  2. Apply filters at the top of the screen as required:
    • Period – Select the time period.

Note: Quick Links periods; for example, Last Survey or Previous 3 months are recommended for periods you use often.

    • Location – Select the location(s) using the hierarchy fields as required. Default: All.
    • Block Model Type – Select one or more block model types if required.
    • Mine Plan Type – Select one or more mine plan types if required.
  3. Click the Apply Filters & Refresh icon to filter the grid with your selections.
  4. Review the grid data:
    • Rows represent data sources or import types; for example, Resource Model, Mine Plan or Haulage.
    • Columns represent reporting periods; for example, months in a year.
    • Each coloured cell displays a count in the format approved / total, where the first value is approved datasets and the second value is the total datasets for that period (including live or pending data). Hover on a cell to display a pop-up summary of the information.
    • Approval Locations shows approval coverage by location for each period.
    • Block Model rows show model type coverage for each period. A greyed out block model type indicates that no model versions are imported for the selected period.
    • Mine Plan rows show mine plan type coverage for each period. A greyed out mine plan type indicates that no plan versions are imported for the selected period.
    • Movement rows such as Haulage, Control Point Transaction, Transport, and Shipping show the number of records imported for each period.
  5. To work with rows:
    • Click + next to a top-level row to display child rows.
    • Click - to collapse the row.
    • Review child rows to compare data coverage by lower location levels.
    • If an Unknown row displays, review location mapping and source data quality for unresolved records.
  6. To adjust the grid's visible date range, use the zoom slider in the top left and horizontal scroll bar below the grid.
  7. To open the Data Approval Screen from the Data Overview:
    1. Click either the Approval Locations row or one of its child rows.

The Data Approval Screen opens for selected period and location.
