Creating a Solution

To create a solution, you require Solution Management functionality. To activate this you must register a Solution Management Key. If Solution Management commands are not available, contact your local Datamine office for advice.

Activity steps:

In the main menu, select License >> Create new Solution.
In the Create New Solution dialog, provide a descriptive name, and click OK.
The new solution is added to the list (if there are others), below the program/module list.
Select the program(s) and module(s) to include in the solution, and then either right-click and select Add/Move Licenses to Solution... from the context menu, or select the same command from the License menu.
In the Move to Solution dialog, select the solution to add to, and click OK.

Note: You can rename one or more existing solutions using a standard naming convention. See Renaming Solutions.

License Key Bound Solutions

A license key bound solution may only be created at the time of license key generation. The solution components are bound to a license key, and the grouping cannot be broken up or edited. This is defined at the time of purchase and the license key, issued to you, will license all the components and the solution.
